We've got answers.
Everything you need to know about selling a junk car in Detroit pricing, pickup, paperwork, the process. Pick a category or browse them all.
Pricing & Payment
How much will you pay for my junk car?
Most junk cars in our service area sell for between $200 and $1,200, depending on weight, year, condition, and current scrap prices. Call or fill out the form for a real number for your specific vehicle.
How do I get paid?
Cash on the spot when we pick up the car. No checks, no waiting, no "we'll pay you later."
Are there any hidden fees?
No. The number we quote is the number you get. No tow fees, no processing fees, no last-minute deductions.
Why are local buyers paying more than online services?
National online buyers take your info and forward it to a local towing partner, keeping a margin. As the local company, we cut out that middleman, so the margin stays in your pocket.
The Process
How long does the whole process take?
Usually under 4 hours from your first call to cash in hand, same-day in most cases.
Can I get a quote before I commit?
Absolutely. The quote is free with no obligation. If the number doesn't work for you, no problem, we don't pressure anyone.
What information do you need to give me a quote?
Year, make, model, condition (running or not, wrecked, etc.), and your ZIP code. The catalytic converter status matters too, let us know if it's present.
Pickup & Towing
Is the pickup really free?
Yes. We tow your car at no charge from anywhere in our service area. The towing cost never comes out of your offer.
How fast can you pick it up?
Most pickups happen the same day you call. Outside the immediate area, it's usually same-day or next-day.
Where can the car be located?
Driveway, street, garage, parking lot, behind a building, almost anywhere. As long as we can physically access it with a tow truck, we can pick it up.
Does someone need to be there during pickup?
Yes. We need an authorized person on-site to hand over the keys (if available), sign the title, and receive payment.
Title & Paperwork
Do I need a title to sell my junk car?
A clean title in your name gets you the highest offer. We can sometimes still buy without a title if you have current registration and matching photo ID, call to confirm before pickup.
What if my title is signed over to me but never transferred?
That's a "jumped" title, we generally can't accept it. You'll need to transfer it to your name through the Michigan Secretary of State first.
What about lost titles?
You can apply for a duplicate title online or in-person through the Michigan SOS. It usually takes 3 to 5 business days. We can't buy until you have it.
Condition & Vehicle Type
Do you buy cars that don't run?
Absolutely. Non-running, totaled, missing parts, won't start, we buy them all. That's most of what we buy.
Do you buy wrecked or totaled cars?
Yes, collision, flood, and fire damage are all fine, as long as the title is clear and we can confirm ownership.
Do you buy trucks and SUVs?
Yes, and they typically pay more than sedans. Heavier vehicles have higher scrap value and bigger parts inventory.
What about cars without a catalytic converter?
We still buy them, but the offer will be lower. The cat is one of the most valuable removable components, so removing it before sale loses you more than the cat is worth on its own.
